Around the board, I do my Love pursue
With regulations set, well in advance
I roll the dice with hope, to capture you
But do I dare leave victory to chance?
You run before me, keeping up your guard
As I bravely press forward my attack
But from the deck, you’ve drawn the ultimate card;
Winning this round, coyly pushing me back
But speak truly, my Love; what have you won?
I surrender not, nor tire of the chase
For I will gain your heart when all is done
And leave you breathless from my embrace
But, if you would, delay our sweet denouement
Then, by all means my Love, play on…play on
