The irony of life's seen at its best:
Where twists of love and hate can be a pain.
For when you long for love’s endeared embrace,
hate that surreptitiously it’s in vain.
You hate that love strongly intoxicates,
while you should have to keep up with its charm,
or lose yourself in dreams that make no sense;
that eats into your spirit causing harm.
And yet, when you love what you truly love
or hate that which brings hate to what you do
You become connoisseur of your own heart
deciphering the difference ‘tween the two.
Oh Love and Hate, emotions you beguile:
Why capture this poor little heart of mine?
