Insanity
Is is so mad, indeed.
To enjoy life's beauty?
Or to stand up and say
that "I must do my duty?"
To choose love over wealth
and claim a success.
To be slapped by a foe,
and say to them "Bless"?
Can I enjoy a walk in the park
or a day out with friends?
No, I must look at my wallet,
and all the new trends.
Is it truly insane,
to simply own up?
To offer the truth,
and say "I messed up?"
How can it be true,
that cruelty is good?
That the purpose of life,
is "I could, so I should!"
What happened to kindness?
What happened to love?
The things that we need,
Yet are so devoid of!
The world says "Greed!"
For all else is insane!
"Forget about others,
and focus only on gain!"
To the world I say "Shame!"
And will call everyone lamented.
"For if love be insane,
Then we should all be demented!"

Poetry: Society's standard
by Casalan
Oh how it glistens, the stars above the Promised Land,
Oh how it glistens, the blood upon oppressor's hands.
And time it has
Objectified, crucified
This that and
who lied.
Beyond what is said,
All the lame stuff we're fed
After the fire
The smoke
by Sarah Terzo
"After the Husbands Left the Table"
Excuse me, but
for just one brief moment
behind that bright lipstick smile,
I thought
She looks in the mirror,
And can't stand the sight,
She thinks she's overweight,
When her body is just right.
She laughs with
Society
We find it necessary to shape
And mold the Earth,
Into unfamiliar faces,
And stratify society,
Aristocracies and disgraces.
