Birthday gift ideas for tween girls

When buying for tween girls, you must remember that every tween is different but they all want to like the same thing.  Because a tween is on the cusp of being a teenager the gifts should reflect this.

Find out what the tween girl is interested in and find a gift that enhances that concept.  If it is cheerleading she likes, find shorts or a t-shirt that is from a cheer store.  Any other sports can also be represented for this girl just by getting to know her. Soccer, softball, volleyball, and tennis are popular sports with this age group.  Equipment, clothes and items that represent these sports will definitely be well accepted by this tween.

Most tweens like the latest trend.  From Abercrombie and Fitch to Vera Bradley, these stores are very popular with the tween set.  A lunch bag from Vera Bradley or a shirt from Abercrombie will go a long way with this age group.  If the item is a name brand, a tween girl will like it.

You can never go wrong with electronics.  If you cannot afford to get an Ipod or an Itouch than any kind of Itunes gift cards will do.  Some tween girls still enjoy DS, Playstation or Wii games.  Rock Band, Dance Revolution and more are all games that tweens enjoy and like to share with friends.

Gift cards, gift cards, gift cards.  The fact is that tween girls want their independence.  By giving them gift cards, this is a sure sign that these girls can make their own decisions.  Gift cards from anywhere will be appreciated but remember that certain places are popular and when buying for the tween set you have to know what is popular.

All tweens want is to be like their friends.  As much as we want them to flaunt their individuality this is not the age to pursue that.  When giving them gifts remember that you want to make sure that what you buy is popular and on trend with a little bit of individuality.  Tweens are at a tough age.  Still kids but almost teenagers.  Any gift that you buy must celebrate this age without being condescending.  And if all else fails, give a tween cash and see how their face lights up.
