Assessing online programs for leveraged income

The best way to start taking steps towards earning leveraged income online is to target more than one program at a time.

What exactly is leveraged income? Let's say you have written a book to sell online. Your own personal sales will provide a certain amount of income. But if you recruit affiliates to help sell the book for you (giving them a percentage from each sale), the money you gain from each of those sales will be leveraged income.

As a rule of thumb, any kind of program that produces leveraged income will require you to recruit others. The more people you recruit, the more leveraged income you will get.

So why target more than one program at a time if you have all this recruiting to do?

The reason I'd recommend this is because there are more online programs than you can shake a stick at, and it can be a real task to discover which of these is the best one for you. Targeting more than one also protects you against one or more programs going belly up (which unfortunately is one big problem online, where programs appear and disappear with disturbing regularity).

So... rule number one would be not to rush in. Do your research first. Unearth some companies and opportunities that you feel are worth looking at further. Find out as much as you can about them. Websites like Helium and MyLot are great places to find out others experiences about sites you might like to try. You'll get all kinds of responses - good and bad - and you'll need to decide how much of the information is relevant for your purposes.

Once you've identified some good possibilities, you will need to consider how much time each one will take up. How much time will you realistically have available to devote to each program? When you have the answer to that question, you will be better able to decide which two or three programs to target.

In this way, you should have a good start at beginning to build a leveraged income; you will be better protected against a particular program falling by the wayside; and you will have taken the first important steps towards building an income for your future... that could eventually replace your existing job.
