Poetry: Defining God

by R. Freeman

Created on: August 14, 2011

If God were a poet
a fellow right brained scribe
one seeking to express himself
through writing to describe

from passion deep within
a heart so full of love
genesis of inspiration
shines sunlight from above

if light were his blank page
and words so freely flow
like clearest water in a stream
united they bestow

endless inspiration
the genius of prose displayed
message in creation
successfully conveyed

If God were a poet
all of Nature his greatest work
Alpha and Omega
Great Master of free verse
