Reach for the stars,
They swore I wouldn't fall.
But I plummeted to Earth,
Their words not true at all.
Where I landed,
I cannot see.
Just one lone candle,
Such maddening company!
Dancing in the distance,

At this pitiful sight!
How was I to know,
That they only told lies?
Now my candle,

Silent screams,
I realize at last,
That this greedy beast's reach,
