In 1988, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" was produced. It was one of the first movies to cross live action with animation, leaving a new and exciting movie experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Bob Haskins stars as a hardened private detective named Eddie Valiant with a cynical look on the cartoons, affectionately called "toons," since his brother was killed by a toon in the past. Valiant becomes involved in the case of lovable Roger Rabbit, who suspects that his knock-out toon wife is playing "patty-cake" with someone else. However, throughout the investigation, Roger is framed for murder and Vailant finds himself as the only one who is able to prove Roger's case.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" As a child, I watched the movie over and over, enthralled with "Toon Town," and especially Roger himself. Roger is a lovable character that will win over your hearts just as he wins over Eddie Valiant's. However, there is plenty of humor for adults to chuckle over as well. All in all, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?" is a great family movie.
