Hi everyone with Crohn's.
I am 41 and i've had this since I
was 17.
The only thing I didn't see mentioned
in some of the things I read is the
FACT that stress is a big deal in causing
someone with this to have attacks. To even
come out of remission. Even if you don't
feel like you're stressed, your stomach
takes whatever is going on in your life
and ties your intestines in knots.
I can tell you this is a fact!
I haven't been the type to feel stress.
At least I didn't think I did.
I ended up having to take anxiety medicine
to help keep me calm. As I said, I didn't
feel like I was stressed out about things,
it affected my Crohn's. Since I've been on
this medicine, my stomach actually feels
relaxed.
Just something to think about. Medicine may
not be the answer for everyone. Just remember
to find a way to de-stress.
