I have a dear and special friend
Who is only five years old
An angel from heaven god did send
So her story can be told.

She is sick with a disease so rare
It is hard to comprehend
How someone so little with this cross to bear
Has a very precious message to send.

Her name is Meghan and she is only five
She never complains, she always has a smile
With courage and strength she says I’m alive
Then inspires with a hug as big as a mile.

She walks to school each and every day
With her grandma in tow she has no fear
She has taught us it can never be okay
To give up without a fight or care.

Meghan you are the most precious one
Sent to us on loan from the heavens above
To inspire us all, each and everyone
With your gift of courage, laughter and love.
