I remember being young
And the pleasure that I had.
When life was good and romance was new
And the thrill of seeming bad.
Not really bad, but bad enough
To sing desires sweet song.
When bad was good
And good was good
And everything in between was wrong.
Life smacked of youth
And fruited wine
Drank quickly by the glass.
Nights of bliss, a lover's kiss
Never knowing this too would pass.
And if I could, I surely would
Have saved those days for last.
