During these times making any additional income can improve or relieve the financial constraints of the economy. There are many ways to make money without having to look very far. The internet has full time workers to make part time income without having to leave their home. You can earn additional income by selling things on Ebay, garage sale, selling a service or items on Craigslist, participate in focus groups, write on Helium etc.

Selling on Ebay

You won't have to look far in terms of what to sell. There are items you have in your home which you probably haven't used in years. If you are thinking about upgrading your t.v or any other electronic try selling it first. When selling items make sure to take good pictures if you want buyers to buy. Selling on ebay is like an online garage sale. If you do not feel comfortable selling online than you can host a weekend yard sale.

Garage/Yard Sale

Usually most homeowners tend to have items piled up in their garage. Some items hold value if it is a vintage item. You can easily make $2,000 in one weekend from selling things in your garage. Spreading the word is as easy as telling your co-workers what/when you are selling.

Selling a service on Craigslist

If you specialize in something why not make money? Using Craigslist is a good way to get your specialty out there. If you build a good reputation you may be able to start a business. Starting a small business without applying for a loan has to be a small business owners dream. You can also rent out a room or your basement via Craigslist. Many people are looking to downsize during the recession. Make sure to do extensive screening prior subletting.

Participating in focus groups/surveys

There are many companies looking to find people to participate in their surveys. I have participated in many surveys paying from $60- $500 a study. Make sure to do your research on the company conducting the survey ensuring they are reputable company. Focus groups online are generally tough finds, but offer the most convenience. After all, what is the point of participating in a focus group when it is offset with additional expenses such as parking, food, gas and etc.

Writing on Helium

Participating in sites which pay for your writing skills is a good way to establish a reputation as well as earn additional income. Helium users are able to generate passive income. As you start to build your reputation in a specific channel it may open up doors for more additional income. Writing on Helium is a good way to build your network and share experience and advice with other users.

There are many ways to earn additional income. It is up to you to find ways to make extra income during these tough times. Keep your head up and good luck!
