At the end of September and the first of October Tulsa, Oklahoma is the place to be. This is state fair time and Tulsa will be playing host to many attractions during the two weeks the fair is there. This is family fun time and there will be something for everyone to enjoy.

Each year hordes of people gather to view the "Sugar Art" displays and "Cake" winners in the Quik Trip Building on the fair grounds. These displays are far beyond average creations. The intricate details and delicate designs are truly culinary masterpieces well worth getting those long lines to see.

Vendors from near and far gather to showcase their displays of products and services. From machines that shake your fat away and tone your body to automobiles, from leather products to telephones, the Quik Trip Building is the place to shop for great finds. While in the Quik Trip Building grab one of the free state fair bags and walk around gathering freebies and signing up for prizes.

Also the Quik Trip Building host several food courts to feed the crowds during the fair. You'll find pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, Indian tacos, turkey legs, sandwiches, chili, loaded potatoes, chili pies, cinnamon rolls, cookies, brownies, candies, drinks, and ice cream. There is something for everyone to eat here. You will not go hungry while browsing the aisles for that great purchase.

Enjoy a wide range of entertainment in the Quik Trip Building as well. You'll see amazing juggling acts, Beauty competitions, and cooking events. There's plenty of seating, so you'll be able to rest those tired feet while enjoying the shows.

When the kids get tired of walking the Quik Trip Building make your way out to the fairway. Here is where you'll find many different rides for the family to enjoy. Take a seat on the Tilt A'Whirl and enjoy the sensation of spinning. Try the tried and true Ferris Wheel. This is a great ride to get a birds eye view of the fairway.

Belly up to the ring toss or the penny toss. Pop balloons for a prize or shoot basketballs. Enjoy running into others with bumper cars. If you're a thrill ride seeker there are plenty of rides to please you as well. Feel the sensation of being catapulted into the air by a huge rubber band like harness, don't worry you're strapped in.

If the tummy is rumbling you won't be disappointed with the food options out on the fairway. Grab a foot long corn dog. Pop bites of a delicious funnel cake into your mouth. Get some nachos or barbecue. A person will not go hungry when attending the Tulsa State Fair.

The Expo buildings host many different types of livestock and animal shows. From cattle to horses, a kids petting zoo to dog shows, one is bound to find something interesting to watch.

When out on the fairway take in one of the several concerts. Locals as well as celebrities make their way to Tulsa for the fair to entertain the crowds.  A lot of these concerts are free to attend, but there are some which cost. From country to rock, contemporary to jazz there is a little bit for everyone.

In the Oklahoma Building you'll find "Made in Oklahoma" products. Some of the best salsas, BBQ rubs, Soaps, Leather goods, Bake goods, Ice creams and candies will be there. Don't overlook the eating area where you can ease a thirst or feed the belly.

The Tulsa, Oklahoma State Fair has so many attractions yearly and they change each year. So if you're in the area during the last week of September and the first week of October, stop on in and see what the fair has to offer. You won't be disappointed.
