Lurking within the shadows,
black as pitch.
The Devil's companion,
eternally evil.
Piercing eyes,
emerald green.
Watching and waiting,
ready to pounce.
Magical spells,
unsuspecting strangers.
Doing their bidding,
unconscious obedience.
Spreading bad luck,
like the Bubonic Plague.
Midnight falls,
fog as thick as witch's brew.
The black cat appears.
Is he your pet,
or are you his?

so hard on my book.
Why can't you just relax
stop purring
