Demons,
One third of God's chosen,
Removed from his holy presence.
The fallen,
or so they are called,
rejected and betrayed.
A failed attempt,
at an unholy coup.
Diabolical plans created,
objectives altered.
Refusing to serve in Heaven,
Ruling in Hell, so sweet.
Mankind,
The precious creation.
Destroying the creator's works,
the simplicity of man.
Greed, lust, and gluttony,
man's true love.
God known,
but soon forgotten.
Temptation,
from descended angels,
with hatred and deceit.
Knowing their time is short,
robbing the souls of good men,
bound for Heaven,
But hijacked to Hell.
So close,
yet so far away.
The fallen's twisted grin,
God wept.

Poetry: Demons
by Lady Cynthia
The Demon King
Restless shadows struggling wildly in the currents wind,
Icy fingers of death await the journeys end.
Lightnings
by Shen-Li Lee
Ominous shadows everywhere I turn,
Alarming, looming, threatening, shocking.
To run away and escape is what I yearn,
Absconding,
A fire burns in the dark
A light for the darkened
A cold wind blows on high
Trees creak in the gust
A figure moves in
The Knife and the Devil's Claw
The anger of a steely knife
In ambushing surprise
Cut to the quick the childish heart
That thought
Demons on Earth
In the dark where despair is the strongest.
Where malice and hate both reside.
They survive in the festering
