Can you really hook a man and make him love you? I don't feel like there's any true way to make him love you (just like trying to get a woman to fall in love with a man isn't easy), because playing games works, but it doesn't last. Men can smell a game from a mile away. So if playing games doesn't work to hook a man, what does?

I believe it's self-confidence and boundaries. Men worth your salt will always value a woman who has enough confidence in herself to say no to sex (especially early on) and NOT alter her precious plans that she's been looking forward to, or blow off her friends, for him. I believe that any relationship worth being in is in one where it's basically effortless, in which you naturally attract your man, so that he carries the relationship and you get to focus on YOU. I mean, doesn't it get irritating when you're the one doing all the work and giving him all the affection and making all the dates, and he's just along for the ride?

Just ignore him. Do your own thing, get a hobby, focus your attention on what you love best. Better yet, date lots of different men because one or two or even three date does not mean you're going out and it certainly wouldn't stop him from seeing different women. It's only when he comes up to you and confronts you about those other guys you're seeing (hopefully you are because it would solve so many problems), that you lay out some ground rules. It's only when marriage is in the picture (if marriage is what you want), when a true commitment is in the picture, that it becomes a real relationship.

Don't go chasing after something because of the chance. Sure, the chance might look attractive, but you want to make sure you'll actually get it. Leave the chance-chasing to men, because you deserve it. You deserve to have tons of different men chasing for even a chance to be with you, for five minutes with you. You're that amazing. Believe that girl, and you can get any man you want.

And I sure hope the man you want is a nice guy. Because you do want to be happy, right? I wish I could say cocky attitudes on the part of the man doesn't work, but it does. The exact kind of man we say we don't want. But that's for another article.
