Eating an Orange
Rough orange skin
Resists my touch
As my hands fumble
To reveal its softness.
Bit by bit
My fingers dig
Into its hard outer covering
Reaching for buried treasure
lying within.
Piece by piece
No longer struggling
It cannot.
Wishing only to submit,
To surrender,
Easily peeling away.
Soft flesh explodes!
I taste its sweetness upon my lips.
Juices running down my face
Savoring each delicate droplet
Melting upon my taste buds
In wild ecstasy.
Trickling
Along my fingertips.
Succumbing to this moment
Where love appears as an orange
To fill and nourish me
While ravishing my senses.
