"What do you mean shadows in the night?" Kirk asks his school camping buddies, Terence and Glen. Both of them in unison relate to Kirk the story of how they try to relieve themselves at night when they saw a mean looking shadow that fateful night. It seems like a shadow of an old woman with two small kids.
Kirk continues saying that he doesn't believe in paranormal stories. Perhaps his arrogance leads him to his fateful night. All the campfire has been put out and instructions have been given by teachers to go to their own shared rooms. Some camp it out in tents while others who are not prone to outdoor environment may opt to sleep in the special rooms allocated. Kirk, along with Terence and Glen remain in their tent. Together with one more classmate, the four of them huddle close together. Kirk starts to become restless and steps out into the night. Terence and Glen tries to pull his shirt to remain still but he's stubborn.
"Duh, I need a break guys, need a puff. Just stay put and I'll be back." So he hides himself from any teacher and goes to the backyard of the camping ground. There, he stands near to a tree and lights up his cigarette. The more it's against the school rules, the better because he is clearly going to get away with rules. As he's busy smoking, he hears a twig being stepped upon. Kirk remains quiet. He's fearful that a teacher will catch him or something. He sees a wall in front of him and rubbing his eyes, couldn't believe what he sees. There appears to be two short and small shadows of kids running.
Is he seeing double? He continues smoking and brushes it off. As he finishes his cigarette, he starts to leave the premise. Suddenly in front of a big oak tree, stands an old lady. She looks at Kirk and that gives him the shudders. He just closes his eyes and passes by quickly. To his total dismay he hears the old lady say something like, "Would you like to buy some candies, my child? My grandsons behind you will show them." Kirk faints.
