There are no rules or guidelines to surviving a Pub Crawl. This would be akin to declaring rules to a knife fight. It is also a misconception that a Pub Crawl must involve moving from Pub to Pub. When in reality, you are only required to be in a Pub and as a result of your actions have the need to crawl. When an Irishmen finds himself in a suitable Pub, he is unlikely to proceed elsewhere. A Guinness in hand, with every indication of a reliable and continued supply, is a gift not to be risked by the hope that it will appear elsewhere. The way to celebrated St Patrick's Day is to proceed the shortest distance that will deliver you to the doorstep of an Irish Pub. Enter and drink. Survival of the day is entirely dependent upon the luck of the Irish. Any prescribed remedies, especially those to be carried out prior to or during the Pub Crawl are, again, akin to declaring rules to a knife fight.
