Poetry: Longing for your love

by Ron Quillin

Created on: August 01, 2011

Fierce…Soothing

Passionate…Compassionate

Craving…Satisfying

Longing…Complete

I’m longing for the touch of her hand.

Those evening walks,

Watching the sun as it sets.

Resting in the soft grass,

In constant conversation

I’m longing for her kiss.

The softness of her lips,

As we hold each other tight.

Expressions of “I’m glad to see you”,

And “I hate to let you go”

I’m longing for her voice.

The long endless conversation,

That passes so quickly,

Hearing her soft “Good Morning”,

That exhilarates my day

I’m longing to shower her with attention.

A warm bubble bath,

A glass of wine,

Candle scent,

All to relieve the stress of her day

I’m longing to hold her.

The joy of wrapping her in my arms,

Feeling her body melt into mine,

The soft sound of her breathing,

As she gives in to pleasure

Fierce…Soothing

Passionate…Compassionate

Craving…Satisfying

Longing…Complete
