To: My Government,
I know that writing you this letter is really a huge waste of my time but I feel it necessary all the same.
The people of this Nation are fed up. We are tired of being robbed by our government both Democrat and Republican alike.
We work our fingers to the bone, give our lives to protect our freedom and bleed to death from struggling to just squeak by. What I see here is the end of days. A nation barely 250 years old falling down because there is not enough money for the rich and if the poor have a dime it is snatched from them for the “good” of everyone.
There are many people in this country so worn out, so tired of trying to find ways to cut their personal expenses so they can buy food, clothes, keep their utilities on and keep a roof over their heads.
These people have reached past their limits waiting for positive change but nothing changes but the names in office. Each day we sink further and further down and other nations who have looked to us as an example are now turning their backs, shaking their heads and walking away. The countries, the militants and those who only wish us harm are sitting back and laughing at us because they do not have to put forth any effort to cripple us because our leaders are doing that for them and doing it better.
We have reached a point in our history where we can become a proud nation again, a nation that IS for the people and NOT for the government, the excessively wealthy, for corporations or a continuance of greed before humility. The other choice we have is to fall down before our foes, before we continue on this bleeding path that feeds off the less fortunate and is shamed into submission by those who have no conscience and not one ounce of humanity. You have allowed the sword to be drawn and the lines to become excessively crooked.
The United States was a country born of people who were no longer tolerant to a government like the one we have today. The freedoms that we fought so hard to achieve are being lost minute by minute.
Once we were a nation that believed that everyone deserved to be able to live as each man or woman chose and that it was our civil duty to care for the less fortunate. A nation that has been battered and bruised by in country wars, by a depression that we swore would never happen again because our governing body said enough was enough. It took over 200 years to make this country a place to be proud to live. To become a nation that would not stand for discrimination,
