Feminism is fine, but I think that there are a few main problems with it. First of all, the whole have your cake an eat it too lifestyle 'enlightened' women want to have. They want be payed equally, and yet have the men pay for meals and entertainment. Also, they want to be prominent corporate figures while raising their kids.
Another issue is them flipping out over everything and taking offense at remarks that CLEARLY were not intended to disparage women.
To all aspiring feminists out there, a word of advice. Don't bitch and moan about respect. Earn it. The most admired women aren't those who give windy, irritating speeches about oppression, it's those who shut the hell up and just kick mens' asses in their field. For example, JK Rowling. She is the best author of all time, and has utterly defeated all her male rivals in the literary field, a field which has never had a woman of note at all in it previously. (Except Mary Shelley.) Also, Oprah. Now, admittedly, I dislike her program, but enough people like it that she has become very rich and powerful. She is the queen of the talk show industry. (Not leader, of course, because Bill O'Reilly will always be the champ, but she's still quite successful.)
