Thank you, my love,
for the whistle you gave
the day that I passed you by.
Thank you, my love,
for giving me back my happy life,
when I was so very lost.
Thank you, my love,
for wanting every child that I would bear.
It gave us that family affair.
Thank you, my love,
for the years of faithfulness you gave,
though it was trying, as so often I was ill.
Thank you, my love,
for seeing me as the gem of your eyes,
when now I am old and grey.
For together, my love,
we have spent an eternity.
And those memories, no one can steal.
Thank you, my love, my darling hubby.
