How determining the meaning of good and bad is all relative

I, like many others no doubt, thought I knew the meanings of "good and bad" or "right or wrong" until I was asked upon a theory today.

* The world should have a natural lottery where everyone born receives their own unique number. When the lottery is drawn, that lucky winner is then killed for their body parts.

People can then receive the much needed organs they are currently in need of. *

To me this sounded like the plot to a bad futuristic movie and it was instantly noted how "bad" and "ridiculous" this is. However, after a brief explanation of how;

- Organ donation lists would go down to practically zero
- An average of 5 people would be happy with new organs whereas it meant only one person died giving a healthy 5/1 ratio for it
- The chances of being "the chosen one" are more minute than being the one in need of an organ

What initially seemed like a definite "bad" idea, once explained it put everyone in a state of mild confusion.

Perhaps this is the case of dictators that somehow, even though how bad they seem, always seem to have a large group of people thinking they are on the right side and doing good for everyone.
