The Sony Ericsson X8 is a nice smartphone to own in my opinion. The screen size is 3 inches big, which makes it quite compact. This phone tilts to the sideways in order to make the screen size larger. The phone uses among the first android operating systems which is good.
What I like the most about this smartphone is that when surfing the internet the speed at around 600mhz is quite fast. It does not go as fast as the apple iPhone but for a smart phone this Sony Ericssson Xperia x8 is not bad at all. The speed of the internet browsing is quite fast. The price is relatively cheap at around the £80-100 at the moment and this will not break the bank as a iPhone will cost many multiples more.
The smartphone is nicely designed with a easy power on and switch off button at the top and for charging the battery it is nicely designed too. The Sony Ericsson has a good number of pre installed apps and programs which can aid people in terms of GPS software, games and other useful stuff. I like in particular that the Sony Ericsson has a built in radio signal and also blue tooth, which enables people to listen to their favorite tracks on the phone. The phone came with a bluetooth device and also a set of standard headphones that are used to listen to the radio feature.
Whilst this phone by Sony is not the world's latest technology device, it is in my opinion a very good communication device to own. I would rate the battery charge is standard, because it provides me with a day standby battery before I have to recharge this on an almost daily basis. It would not rank among the worst battery performers from my experience.
I like the navigation around the menu screen, of the phone because it is simple to navigate and the phone came with a screen protector to prevent scratches or damage to the screen of the phone.
There really are not many disadvantages to mention about this smartphone. The radio feature and having to use headphones makes this feature a bit less convenient to use. Also the internet surfing is fast but not that fast.
I would recommend this smartphone as a good quality entry level communication device.
