Moonglow
They come in the form of chaos
and her nights are filled with the
wild things, so unlike her gentle
demeanor that all think to fell her.
Yet she spreads her emerald cloak
over their restless, quivering forms
and with her words she brings stillness
to the beasts of nature’s fury and time’s wrath.
It is not for them to understand
what her softness reveals and
what the whispers mean that
she exudes through unquiet motion.
Perchance their confusion reflects
her own disbelief in the elegance
of her inspirational movements
in the softness of a bowing will.
She is not for them to know,
only for them to be gifted all
the wisdom and the infinite care
she would bestow, the greatest.
In the yielding curtains of night
she shines the brightest of all,
yet unaware of her brilliance,
reflecting the glow of Sol.
