Songs: Holding onto love

by Aaron Faust

Created on: July 18, 2011

The time we never made use of has almost come and gone
You live your life without me while I'm busy writing songs
And I wish I could articulate like we never went wrong
But let me choke it out before you're moving on

Oh, a life lived without love is not a life at all
And I've laid mine out for you in my own way
I hope there's still part of my adoration you recall
Because every word you might've heard will ring true everyday

The solstice may mean joyous times and turning points for some
But just let the spring have its last word before the summer comes
To take you far away from me and strike me dead and dumb
As I sit alone with my guitar and strum

These are the words it would mean the very universe to me
If you one day closed your eyes and heard them play
And on the off-chance they would bring a smile to your face,
You can rest assured that every word will ring true everyday
