Why people are becoming homeless in the US
Reason 1 - We don't care. We the people don't unless it happens to one of our own. The States and Government have taking all the money away from programs that should help the homeless. When there was money to help, there were still homeless people on the streets. When was the last time you saw a rich person help a homeless person on the streets? We are so wrapped up in keeping up with the Joneses that a homeless person is sub-human to us.
Reason 2 - The housing mess. 3.5 million people have lost their homes so far and rising. Now it was blamed on the homeowners that they took out loans that they could not afford. Everyone was pointing fingers, but no one knew until it was to late for the truth. The courts have become corrupted with cases that the banks have won knowing that they stole the home from the people. Yet, the banks are too big to fail, without evidence to the fact of them owning the home in the first place, the homeowner gets kicked out of the home. No trail to prove that they ( the banks) ever owned it in the first place. Lawyers and Judges alike are getting paid off to take the homes from the people. Now the homes are sitting across America rotting because of the greed from the banks and lenders. Investors from overseas come and sweep up our homes and rent them out to our people, most have become slum landlords who don't care, all they want is your money. And we wonder why there are more homeless people on the streets now?
Reason 3 - Jobs. Where did all the jobs go? With (in some States) unemployment at 12%, the corporations are taking our jobs overseas where they pay 12 cents an hour. Now they, poor soul, take the jobs because they have to feed their families. Is this a new form of slavery? Here in the U.S. we complain about the illegal immigrants because they work in the fields for maybe a dollar an hour, while the company kicks back and makes a huge profit off of them. yet we the people let this happen. Who cares? It is not our family that is working 16 hours in some field. Kids that just graduated from College can't get a job for the fact there is none. What is happening to America?
Reason 4 - Our Government. There is so much corruption in our Government right now, and we the people just don't care. Our debt is outstanding. How hard is it to balance a check book and tell the other Countries 'no'? We cannot take care of our own back yard much less someone else's. We don't even own the United States anymore. The house you are paying for is from a bank overseas, the car you pay for is a bank from overseas, the food we eat is from overseas, the everyday household items are from overseas. So where are the jobs? You guessed it - overseas. So now there is the burning question of why there are so many homeless people on the streets and still counting.
If there is nothing done about what is happening before our eyes then there will continue to be more homeless on the streets. Then there will be camps set up and a form of slavery will begin from the rich, our Government, and big corporations. It is happening now and we are to blind to it. There are rumors of a "new world order" and the first to go will be the homeless people, for they are nothing in our eyes, they take up to much space, they are lazy, they need to get a job.
This is how we think. We the people are part of this sadness that is spreading like an uncontrolled wild fire. If we do not stand up and take notice then you will be next. We are all one pay check of being homeless tomorrow.
