On a cold winter night like this
Where the sun shies away into somewhere
You've taken my spirit away
Reading the letter which you wrote
Prior to our separation
Breaking my heart into two
Leaving me to fend this alone
Deep into the cold winter night
I read your words of despair
Boredom, wanting to leave me for a more exciting life
Out there, into nowhere, the clouds form for you
Your life isn't here with me, these words of break up
Is totally foreign to me
On a cold winter night like those years
Where you promised words of love
And wisdom to me, so where had they gone to
Washed into the drain, to be driven away
I hope for a rewind, unfortunately life is not like that
Wishing for a recap of our love, but you have uttered those words
The words which I'm reading right now, wanting to break away from this life
On a cold winter night like tonight
I read the words you've written
Let the candle burning be the witness
Of my broken heart as it burns away the words
