The Nikon D200 is a very advanced camera with customizations unnecessary for the average photographer, but a definite delight for the professional, who undoubtedly will appreciate the exposure flexibility available.
The D200 proudly display a newly developed 10.2-megapixel DX Format CCD image sensor, an all new 11-area Autofocus system, a 1005-pixel 3D Color Matrix Metering II system and advanced Wi-Fi image transmission options, to name a few of the exciting features of the camera.
Quite expensive at ~$1700 , for pictures of the family vacation a cheaper, less complicated camera is suggested.
This camera with it's generous features is better suited for the semi/professional photographer.
For whom this is an affordable Nikon digital SLR in it's price class, with few competitors that can measure up.
It's light weight also contributes to it's popularity amongst photographers.
The one thing left to wish for would be for a longer battery life, yet, this
camera truly leave little left to be desired for the photography enthusiast.
