Standing tall, singing, strumming,
Dark good looks, Spanish guitar.
Young miss, love bitten, smitten,
Smokey eyes smiling from afar.
Jose sees her, eyes flashing
Carissa swaying, heels clicking,
Strumming faster, sweet music
Crowd cheering, Carissa twirling,
Faster, faster, dark tresses swirling.
Jose and Carissa, eyes locking,
Smiles promising secrets
Crowd clapping, some dancing,
Lights dimming, then out.
Hands touching, grasping, in darkness
Sweet kisses, caresses, escape.
Something happened.
Lights coming on, shadows weaving.
Eyes straining, customers looking.
But, where was Jose?
The guitar player was gone,
And the song played on.
