The 3S of Mauritius : Sea, Sun and Sand

Mauritius has been my all time favourite destination till today, today with tourism, along with sugar production and textiles, is one of the biggest contributors to the country's economy. And this has resulted in the establishment of some of the finest and most luxurious resorts in the world.

Whenever, someone mentions the name Mauritius. It immediately brings you flavorful and magical pictures of white sand beaches, crystal clear waters, rugged mountains, calm coral lagoons, and fields of sugar cane gently swaying in the breeze. And while I will like to put everything about Mauritius here for you readers out there, I want to put forth this challenge to you to visit Mauritius yourself and indulge in her diverse culture, traditions and people. Here, I will do a breakdown of Mauritius for you to entice you to visit this beautiful place called "Mauritius".

Meet, Eat and Sleep
That is the basics of any holidaying destinations, and I personally would like to pen my thoughts on this sub-topic of Mauritius. As in the beginning of my text, Mauritius boasts some of the finest and most luxurious resorts in the world. First on the list, Naiade Resorts Group, operates five resorts throughout Mauritius. Top end resorts have to be the group's five star Beau Rivage Resort which lies on the edge of a crystal clear lagoon. Not to forget, Legends Resort which has been designed using the five feng shui principles of wood, water, fire, metal and earth, and these elements can be seen everywhere in the resort from the dcor in the bedrooms, to the way meals are prepared and served.
Next, on the list, Beachcomber Resorts Group, they manages eight resorts in Mauritius. If you are in for a bit of golfing, convention and incentive groups can opt to stay at its luxurious six star Royal Palm Resort, to the Dinarobin and the Paradise golfing resorts, to the historic Le Canonnier resort, or the Le Mauricia resort, located just two minutes from Grand Baie. The other on my list is the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa and One & Only Resorts Group. The first Hilton on the island and located on the west coast, this resort was designed to exude an air of contemporary Asian style with subtle Mauritian influences. The latter group, are known worldwide for their magnificent resorts and commitment to service. My favourites have to be these, located on the east coast is the boutique Le Touessrok Resort, the elegant Le Saint Geran Resort and the colourful Le Coco Beach
