I don't know if bad drivers is the correct label to use. After all, what is a bad driver? Maybe driving a car with a lot of dents might be an indication. Aggressiveness comes with competitiveness. And in New York, well.....just take a drive through it, and unless you compete with the next guy, you'll find yourself having to exit a street so as to get back on for the purpose of making the turn you wanted to in the first place.

So all the cutting in and out, or chances that drivers take whereas they almost clip your taillights to get around you, is nothing more than a way of life in the driving world when in New York.
A city breeds these kinds of drivers. It's a natural way of getting around the city.
The bigger the population, the worse you can expect for your driving experience.
That relaxed country drive is just not the same as fighting for position on a city block.

Stress builds up quickly, and helps make for a lot of mistakes which just adds to the amount of drivers that seemingly are bad.
To a seasoned New York driver, there is no such thing as a bad one. Just competition.
