Poetry: Monkeys

by A. Pesarosa

Created on: July 09, 2011

See the monkeys in the trees!

That one’s looking at you and me.

Swinging by its ring-ed tail

A shower of leaves mark its trail.

Two bananas, in one paw.

(Indeed, a healthy snack.)

Is she really driving

to her palm-thatched shack?

Oh, the zoo of your mind!

And what a hoot you give me

When you share what animal

You would be.
