Absolutely not! What impact does it have on even asking a child questions about a parents health habits. There is this "thing" called rights, even though they seem to be slowly disappearing.  Not to mention, what does a doctor have to gain by asking children this question? Parents are adults, and can do as they choose. I smoke, i drink on occasion, but it does not have an impact on my child's life. I do not smoke near him or drink when hes awake or home, because that is MY choice. I cook homemade meals, I take care of my son, I do not put him in harms way.

Doctors think just because they are so well educated, that we as parents are not. And being a doctor does not give them the license to question what we do with our own health. When I take my son to his doctors, I  take him there for HIM, not I, or to be scrutinized as a parent, or to be judged by my health habits.

Unless a doctor feels the child is in an abusive or dangerous situation, I don not believe in grilling a child. Not to mention, by asking these questions, the doctors are putting the children on the spot, and who is to say that, then the child does not get upset or worried about their parents. The doctor is supposed to make the child and parents feel good, safe, and at ease.

I am not sure why in this world, there are so many different ways a person is judged. We are judged on race, religion, weight, appearance, sexual preference, education, jobs, family, etc. I am not to sure when God came down here and appointed ANYONE that right to judge, as he is the only one who can. Argue with me, you might, but I am entitled to my opinion.

Do children not already have enough pressures on them in this day and age? Then to add on top of it, to start questioning their parents' health habits. I will definitely say now, that if a doctor were to question my child about me, I would  have a major problem with that and that doctor. I would also definitely file a complaint. If your not my primary health physician, then you have NO right to ask ANYONE about their habits. It pertains nothing to them.
