The Last Words
Your chapter is closed
I let go of old hopes
make way
Still, I mourn
the day
you walked out of my life
Never forgotton
I hold you still
only a fragment
mostly, I let you go
I know
never again
What was has passed
to be cherished
always
but never repeated
I wonder
will I live again
like I lived with you?
that smile, that look
truly
are they gone?
I know
deep down
I know
and knowing
I cry
And still
these are the last
tears, yes
and words
The last words
I will ever write
for you.
