Lines drawn and shaded
they stretch as he yawns and talks
of stories too precious to be rated
and treasures hidden and lost
His sunken eyes trace the sky
mapping out each point
He talks of time passing bye
and how to flip a coin
His wife just stares
with salt painted cheeks
Blurred vision from tears
a constant for the last few weeks
a little boy in his old years
Giddy to sip from the vile
of his family's deepest fears
A wrinkled finger points ahead
see that star right there
her heart felt like lead
two to the right of the moon
that's where I want to spend eternity
looking over you
