About a year and a half ago I had corneal transplant surgery for a visual condition called keratoconus. Throughout the year after the surgery my eyes have suffered with on again off again rejection forcing me to have to take prednisone which is a steroid and loaded with side effects. Most of the side effects have been irritability, hair loss and a inability to lose any weight. I look and feel like a swollen blimp. Frustrated with my condition I was recommended by a good friend a product from Canada called Nopalina. Nopalina is an all natural product! The ingredients are: Flax seed, psyllium husks, cactus senee leaf, sacred bark, oat bran, wheat bran, apple, grapefruit, pineapple and orange. What does this product do? Well according to the leaflet I received it states that Nopalina has many positive effects on the body some of which are: anti-inflammatory-helps modify the response to inflammation. Helps treat many types of allergies, arthritis, asthma's, psoriasis and eczema's. Lowers high blood pressure and can prevent arterial blockage as well as lower cholesterol levels keeps arteries clean free of plaque due to the high Omega fatty 3 acids. Flax seed contains lignans which have 27 anti-cancerous components beneficial for cancer susceptible to hormones such as prostrate and breast cancer I also researched lignans myself and they are chemical compounds found in plants that contain estrogen like chemicals that act as anti-oxidents a sure plus for our bodies. Facilitates fat burning and cleans the colon of toxins which makes it easier for weight-loss. Regulates appetite by giving the feeling of a full stomach because of the expanding of the flax seed when it is wet. Slows down development of diabetes as well as regulates active insulin and levels of sugar in the blood. Helps with digestion as well as chronic constipation due to dirty colon, also alleviates damages caused by unnatural laxatives. Considered an aphrodisiac! WOW! Helps with some sterile problems also reduces symptoms of menopause. Flax seed is also responsible for an increase in energy and vitality. Also stated on this leaflet Nopalina could be used as a facial mask as well as a gel for the hair when in need of nourishment.

Hearing about all the good things that this product does convinced me to do some research on flax seed and all the other ingredients and since I like trying natural products I have put myself to the challenge. I went to my local pharmacy and purchased the product for $17.00. I have been using it for a whole week so far and I believe it is too early to tell its effects especially when they say to use the product for six months to see results. In case you were wondering how the product is used firstly it comes in a bag and looks like bran you mix two spoonfuls in your favorite juice or even milk. I make it in the blender like a shake with orange juice at least twice a day. How does it taste? Tastes good! It is also recommended to drink plenty of water throughout the day while drinking the Nopalina.
