This really works to calm and relax me after a stressful day. I prefer not to take sleep medications so I came up with this aromatheapy mixture instead. Give it a try. It might help you too.
Combine equal parts of Lavender and Jasmine essential or fragrance oils in a large vial. Add several drops of YlangYlang oil and gently shake to blend.
Pour a bit into an electric potpourri crock NOT a tealight one. You can add a bit of water too if you like. Plug the pot in and soon the soothing aroma should have you drifting off to sleep.
Soothing Sleep Inducer Pillow Spritz
Should you prefer a natural sleep inducer instead of taking sleep medications and you just want to scent your bedroom not the entire house, try this simple method of aromatherapy to help you drift off to sleep.
In a spray type bottle combine this amount of oils for each one ounce of distilled water you use.
3 drops Lavender oil
3 drops Jasmine oil
1 drop YlangYlang oil
Add the desired amount of oils to the appropriate amount of water. Shake to blend before each use. Lightly spritz bed pillows and linens with this mixture. Allow to dry for a moment. The fragrance should soothe and calm you as you drft off to sleep.
