How to cure insomnia

Insomnia at present is spreading like an epidemic in our modern world.Increased levels of social,economic and professional or job-related stress are responsible for this .Even young children in middle schools are falling prey to this distressing epidemic of Insomnia or Sleeplessness.In order to get over insomnia one has to implement certain principles and lifestyle habits which technically is known as maintainance of Sleep Hygiene.


1)Use your bed only for sleeping and nor for any other purposes like reading books,watching T.V.,listening to music,having meals including breakfast or purely chatting.
2)Do not drink caffeinated beverages like tea, coffee, and cola drinks after 16:00 hours.It is one of the best ways to combat Insomnia,
3)Have a refreshing bath before going to bed at night with warm water in winters and cool water in summers,
4)Do not watch any exciting movies before hitting the sack.Also control the urge to see clips with explixit adult contents on the internet at night.
5)Never drink alcohol for inducing sleep.You will sleep well first and then rebound insomnia,later, will force you to become alcoholic by increasing consumption of alcohol to induce sleep.
6)Drinking warm milk before going to bed does help in inducing sleep,
7)Quit smoking immediately.Smoking is one of the surefire ways of ensuring Insomnia.
8)Sleep only when you are sleepy and not before, no matter how late it may be.Never get into bed first and then try and induce sleep when you are not feeling sleepy.It will never work.
