A bald man holds both universal and individual appeal to a woman who is not prejudiced against his follicular challenges. Confidence is the key to sex appeal, and a man who has no hair to hide behind must be confident in showing himself to the world.
On a subconscious level, facial symmetry appeals to us, even when any differences are barely perceivable. We are attracted to others even if we do not consciously notice the balance of the face. A man with good symmetry displays good genes his cells divided nicely as an embryo, surviving myriad potential disasters. He shows himself to be an excellent choice for mating, the driving force of sexual attraction. Being hairless allows a man's symmetry to be more prominent, drawing a woman's attention with no effort on his part. His brand of appeal can be subtle, even subliminal.
Men who are losing their hair and have the confidence to admit it, shunning the comb-over in favour of wearing it short-short, carry a sex appeal the most luxurious of manes cannot match. Without the distraction of hair, the bald man draws a woman's attention to his face, particularly his eyes. What woman looks into a man's hair as they share flirtatious banter?
The attraction of a bald man does not stop at the universal or biological. There are many subjective and lifestyle factors that enhance his appeal. This man will be unlikely to fight a woman for the bathroom to preserve a high maintenance look. This leaves her more time to tend to her own appearance, giving her more time to look and feel as beautiful as possible. His hair won't clog up drains, cover pillows, or find its way onto clothing or food. The bald man won't use up a woman's hair products or clutter up a bathroom with his own. His low key grooming needs add to his allure.
Baldness is certainly no hindrance to celebrity. Bruce Willis, Sean Connery, and Andre Agassi have graced magazine covers, enjoyed fame and married beautiful women. Each of these men appeals to thousands of women, his lack of hair being the last thing anyone notices about him. They share confidence, ruggedness, and a certain sexiness, which is only enhanced by hairless crowns.
The saying bald is beautiful is rather trite and clich. Bald is so much more than beautiful. It can be an advantage for the charismatic man who embraces his pate and shows a woman his sexy, confident charm.
