Don't fret, in this article we'll discuss blogging, what it is, and how its affecting really e-commerce today.
First off lets get the definition of blogging right out there in the open. The term blog comes from a combination of the words "Web Log" and basically means an online journal. With the way the term "Blog" is surrounded with so much hype you'd think there would be more to it than that but nope, its just an online journal. A gathering of one persons thoughts, that is usually updated at least a few times per week. One way that blogging is different than say just posting your random thoughts on a website is the way in which its delivered to readers. RSS stands for really simple syndication and is basically a feed that can be plugged into a Feed Reader which will then show the content of the blog. I know this idea may sound a bit strange if you are totally new to blogs and blogging, but just think of it as being able to look at someone's blog and say "Yeah I want to read this blog from now on". By using the RSS feed you can have the blog posts how up on your MyYahoo, Google, MSN or any other service that offers a feed reader. For that matter you can get a feed reader for your website and publish other peoples blog right on your home page. This article isn't about how to setup your own blog, but more about how and why to blog for your e-commerce business.
