Discount Dental Plans 101
What are Discount Dental Plans?
A Discount Dental Plan Organization is NOT insurance. They are entities designed to provide significant savings on a Consumer's Dental care needs. Today Discount Health Organizations expand beyond Dental, providing a wide range of High Demand Benefits such as Vision, Prescription, Chiropractic, Ancillary care, Hospitalization, Primary Care Physician's and Specialists.
Discount Health Care Programs offer it's Members rates that are between 15 and 80% off the normal and customary Dental fees. With a Discount Plan, a Member is agreeing to pay a substantially discounted rate directly to the Provider at the time services are rendered, thus avoiding the middle man.
Due to their affordability, long term value and simplicity of use, Discount Plans have quickly become the most attractive and affordable ALTERNATIVE to traditional, costly insurance, allowing many more people to finally afford Dental care for their entire household.

Dental insurance policies are typically characterized by HIGH monthly premiums, deductibles and caps and waiting periods. Fortunately however, discount dental plans are designed to be as simple to use and affordable as possible, thus, they do not share any of the characteristics associated with traditional insurance.
