Is Nokia the best mobile phone?

by BRio

To be honest, the name Nokia nowadays practically means "mobile phone", one person would mention the word "Nokia" and anybody who hears them will systematically think of the mobile phone. I find this quite depressing sometimes because from the way people think of Nokia these days, it shows that they practically forgotten about Nokia's other products. Although one must admit that the mobile phone is most definitely Nokia's most popular product, but have we forgotten that Nokia had once made television sets as well at one point? The point I'm trying to make here is that Nokia mobile phones have now been almost branded as THE mobile phone producer, but it's not hard to understand why that is For Nokia have been making phones for so long and have accumulated such a vast catalogue of phones, it's practically impossible to compare them with any other mobile phone producer. But these days, it's not the brand which is what shows off a phone, it's the functions and features they have. Take for example, the invention of the camera phone, a very simple idea of incorporating a camera into a mobile phone was a big hit and I assure you, I don't think you will be able to find a new mobile phone on the market that doesn't have a camera. So yeah, phones these days must have features and not just the brand, although there may be lots of camera phones out there, but you can still compare them with one another for example how good is the camera or does it have zoom and so on If we were to look at the topic from this point of view, I can assure you that Nokia aren't always the best producers. Although the Finnish inventors may be racking their brains every second to think of more innovative ideas to put into mobile phones, there are still other brands out there that are doing the same. Take for example, Samsung- a South Korean company which rose through the ranks through the years, has now reached the top and can be compared with Nokia on features and even more so- their looks.

This raises a point that I am sure many will agree with me on, that the Finnish aren't exactly the best model designers in the world. For their Nokia mobiles are all either too angular or just simply too big to use properly. Last year I bought myself a Nokia N90 after reading reviews on its smartphone features and multimedia capabilities, all was well until I received it. The size could be comparable to a 1G iPod and the weight of it was just unbelievably heavy. It may have been a phone packed full of features,
