Sharing personal ordeals that may assist others

prayed up. It works I tell you!

Finally the doctors pinpointed where the infection was entering the body. It was the jawbone that they had removed to remove the cancer from her mouth last year. It had set up an infection and the bacteria traveled to the brain.

After pinpointing the origination and the cause of the infection, a vigorous treatment was administered to kill the infection. Again, she was administered antibiotics intravenously around the clock for over a month. This time was different. It was working! You could actually see her improving every day. She was getting stronger. Her color was returning and she was gradually talking more coherently.

There were therapists coming in to help her improve her motor skills. Before the month was up, the therapist said that she had improved so much, she didn't need to continue with therapy.

Amazingly enough, she never lost her appetite or her ability to walk and talk. The doctors were amazed to see her improving at such a rapid rate. When she came out of each surgery, she was able to walk and talk and even feed herself.

From past experiences with patients with the same type of illness, they were usually paralyzed, unable to talk, walk or even feed themselves. What a mighty God we serve!

She is now able to bathe herself, attend church every Sunday, go shopping, do a little house chores, go walking, and other things that we sometimes take for granted.

She is now on a mission for God. Mary has her own unique praise now to tell of God's goodness to her and how God has healed her body. Considering everything that she has gone through, she looks like a picture of health except for needing to gain a few more pounds.

The moral of this story is to never give up when life throws you a curve ball and your life goes into a whirl-spin, not knowing where you're going to end up. Keeping a positive attitude as well as being in a positive environment can mean all the difference in your recovery. Remember to never, never give up on God. He promised in His word that "by his stripes we are healed" Isaiah 53:5.

In closing, please remember that when you think that you have a toothache and you wait too long to see a dentist, it can be a serious illness that needs immediate medical attention.

I pray that after sharing this story, someone will be healed spiritually as well as physically. I also pray that this story will touch the uttermost part of your being to believe that God is able to do just what he promised he would do.
