Sharing personal ordeals that may assist others

was up and moving about. Whatever she felt like doing, she did it. She didn't want anyone waiting on her hand and foot. I thank God that I was there to witness such amazing strength and courage. I pray that God will give me the determination and endurance that she possess to get through whatever trials and tribulations that I may go through in my life.

During the next several months, her health was improving at an amazing rate and she was almost back to normal. Then, just a little past a year when the cancer began, another illness came upon her. She had been laying around a lot and complaining of headaches, and she wasn't able to eat. She had gotten really weak and she lost the little weight that she had gained after the cancer.

Everyone had been calling to check on her to make sure that she was okay. She wasn't answering the phone and after several of us had tried to reach her, but got no answer, someone had to go to her house and see what was going on. When my Mom and baby sister arrived at her house, it took a long time for my sister to even get out of the bed to open the door. She was so weak, she wobbled to the door and opened it. It was then, when my Mom and younger sister saw her, they knew that she was deathly ill. Right away, they called for an ambulance and she was rushed to the emergency room for immediate medical treatment. Again, after a battery of tests, the results showed where my sister had an infection on the brain. They performed emergency surgery to implant a tube in her brain to drain the infection. After several days in the hospital, she was released to go home to recuperate. She was being treated around the clock with antibiotics to kill the infection.

Her son and his wife were trained how to administer the antibiotics around the clock. After several days of treatment, they noticed that she wasn't getting any better. Again, they took her back to the hospital and again, another emergency surgery was performed. Once again the infection had traveled to the brain.

The doctors didn't know how or where the infection was entering into the body and attacking the brain. The infection could possibly return at anytime. My God, what are the doctors saying? Will my sister be able to undergo another surgery if the infection returns? She has had 2 brain surgeries within a month's time and now the doctors still are not sure whether they will be able to stop the infection from returning.

I recommend to anyone reading this, if you believe in prayer, stay
