Getting over the fear of singing in public

I've never been very confident about singing in public, although I do it all the time. Sometimes I get so nervous that I'm sick before or after I sing.

People tell me all the time that I have an amazing voice but I just can't get that into my head... I still worry that I will make mistakes or go out of tune.
If you are worried or scared of singing in public there are a few things you must remember

1. If someone laughs at you it either means they are jealous, or pathetic.
2. People may think that they're better than you, but in the end YOU are the one up there performing.
3. If you've got the talent you should flaunt it.
4. If you slip up just keep going... the audience never usually notice.

I've been performing in school concerts since I was really young and the nerves never really go away, plus it's good to be slightly nervous!
I performed in my school's battle of the bands recently, I was shaking like a leaf when I got up there, but when people start cheering you get over it. After-wards I went off stage and was sick, this was due to the nerves and the buzz I got from the audience.
Once you've conquered most of the fear its the best feeling ever!

Here are a few tips
1. If your scared imagine the audience are naked or in their underwear (It may not be pretty but it will calm you down!)
2. Just give it your best shot and don't let it get you down!

GOOD LUCK!
