I would have to say that my role model is my mother.I have been without her for almost 20 years, but I remember so much.
I never understood some of the things she did or put up with when she didn't have to until I had my own children. I see the same things in myself. I hope my children are as happy as my brother & I were.
My mother always made sure we were in church even if she couldn't make it. My mother always had a smile on her face. She showed love to everyone. She worked hard for what she gave us which wasn't much, but it was enough. She taught us to appreciate the things we have. She taught us to also be thankful for everything. She was like an angel in disguise. Then one day, that was all taken away. She was killed in cold blood when she was 32. That was the worst day of my life. I look back now and all the things I mentioned before, I did not get as a child. It was after I had my own family that I realized what my mother did to mold us into what we are today. I am now 32 and have 2 beautiful girls and a wonderful husband. My brother is younger than I. He is happily married and has a baby and one on the way.

My mother taught us how to live with faith and joy. She taught us responsibility that we would need as an adult. She taught us to depend on God in everything we did. She was the example that we needed to get through life. She did what she could to help everyone. If there was one person I would want to be like, it would be my mom. I now consider her as a rose in the garden of Heaven. I hope that I can be the same role model for my children that my mother was and still is to me.
