Return of the Jedi has to be the best out of the six.
It continued with the excellent special effects that gave the previous two movies their "wow" factor, even raising the bar slightly. There was plenty of action with the speeder bike chase and the Endor war.The story was great, introducing us to a new race of alien life forms in the Ewoks.

The Story also seemed to be split into two, one concentrating on the rebel alliance on Endor, and one on Luke's own journey against his father, both binding in the end.

The best part about Jedi though was the fact that it finally finished off and answered all questions from the previous episodes. All six movies could be watched in order and a definitive ending can be produced.
The story stands up to the rest of the saga well, proved by the fact that only minor adjustments were made in the "special editions" of the initial trilogy.
