Just what the world needed, more stereotypes.
You can blame it on the "screenplay" or you can blame it on the cowboy...
OR you could blame it on the thought patterns of certain members of society.

I can think of 6 thought patterns that might have precipitated this article...

1. I reject anything that is different from my own way of life.
2. It is socially and morally acceptable to make fun of anyone who is different than myself. (It's also ok to burn crosses, to perpetuate violence and to instigate hate crimes against "those" people.)
3. "If I seen it in a movee, by gosh, it must be like that in reel life two"
4. "If one cowboy is gay, all cowboys must be gay. And if one black person steals, they all must do that. And if one blonde is dumb, all blondes must be dumb." Hell, me and my "good ol boys" are the only alright peeple in the world.
5. I don't like "queers." (not that I know any or anything, but you don't have to know someone in order to know that you just don't like 'em)
6. No I never met a cowboy, but I did see "BrokeBack Mountain." so I know what's really going on in the world...
